SC Farm Report on Tuesday

   Cattle at SC Auctions on Monday:  Compared to last week, feeder 
steers and feeder bulls were steady to 4.00 higher.  Feeder heifers were 
steady to 4.00 lower.  Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 
135.00-156.00, 500-600 lbs 122.00-136.00.  Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 
1-2 400-500 lbs 126.00-145.00, 500-600 lbs 115.00-132.00.  Feeder 
Heifers: Medium and Large 1-2 400-500 lbs 108.00-119.00, 500-600 lbs 
108.00-118.00.  Slaughter cows were 2.00 to 4.00 lower.  Slaughter cows: 
Breakers 75-80% lean 44.00-53.00; Boners 85-85% lean 44.00-55.00; Lean 
85-90% lean 42.00-48.00; Lean low dressing 32.00-39.00.  Slaughter bulls 
were 2.00 to 4.00 lower.  Slaughter Bulls: 1305-2155 lbs 65.00-83.00 and 
Low Dressing 910-2065 lbs 47.00-69.00. 
   Cow/Calf Pairs:  Medium and Large 1-2 800-1265 lbs Young to Middle Age 
Cows with calves under 300 lbs 480.00-900.00 per pair.  Small 1-2 565-810 
lbs Young to Middle Age Cows with calves under 300 lbs 400.00-850.00 per 
pair.
   Hogs on Monday: Plant delivered weighted average. National Direct 
Barrows & Gilts US 1 50-54% lean 250-300 lbs was 0.25 higher at 36.90.  
Sows live price 300-450 lbs 31.40; 450-500 lbs 35.80; 500-550 lbs 38.64. 
   SC Grain on Tuesday:  Corn was mixed, 3 cents lower to 1 cent higher; 
elevator bids 4.03-4.17, processor bids 4.33-4.78. Soybeans were 4 to 5 
cents higher; elevator bids 8.61-9.01, processor bid 9.11, and export 
9.26. New Crop Wheat was 1 cent higher; elevator bids 5.10-5.64. 
   Cotton on Tuesday. Southeast base price for 41-4/34 grade was 0.55 
higher at 64.43. 
   Fruits & Vegetables:  Prices paid to SC growers at the Columbia State
